3 Q's & A; Every 3rd Friday

Sometimes inquiring minds want to inquire. Tara answers 3 questions every 3rd Friday related to the month's topic. Tara tries to answer questions, which are common, but people are hesitant to ask. In more recents Q and A's the 3rd question is usually how Tara, herself relates to the topic.

Connecting to Your Inner Truth FAQs: 1-18-2020

Hi All! I have made the decision to start doing videos for the 3rd Friday Q and A’s and put them on IGTV!  This change took a bit more time than I was hoping so my first IGTV post is getting posted on Saturday instead of Friday! :)

Stress FAQs 12-20-2019

What are 3 sneaky stress factors?

1) Trying to control an outcome of any situation leads to increased stress.

2) Forgetting you can ask for help and trying to do everything yourself.

3) Trying to please everyone at your expense.

What are 3 ways to help reduce stress?

1) Acknowledge you are stressed. Admitting you are stress is the way to begin to handle your stress.

2) Take 3 deeps breaths, whenever you acknowledge you are stressed. 1 deep breath doesn't help you much. But taking 3 deeps breaths allows your body to relax a bit, allowing the stress you holding onto to lessen.

3) At night pay attention to your hands as you are getting ready to go to sleep. When you stressed your hands may curl into fists without you even realizing it. Allowing your hands to relax into an open position, helps you as you are trying to fall asleep. ( Tara speak's from personal experience!)

What does Tara do to reduce stress?

The one thing which probably helps me the most is to be connected with nature. Even if I only end up buying myself some flowers, those flowers help to lessen my stress level.

Fear FAQs 11-15-2019

What makes fears feel so powerful?

Physically: Fear can be helpful in determining if you need to leave a situation immediately or fight. (The flight or fight response) This automatic response can bring you into hyper focus, to deal with the situation at hand, however, most of the time, we aren’t in physical danger, but our bodies may still react like we are.

Emotionally:  Fear can be triggered by something that makes you uncomfortable including change. And because we are SO adapt and creating fears, we easily can think of worst case scenario (or 10 worst case scenarios) which makes our fears become even larger and more unmanageable.

Why do we hide behind our fears?

We falsely tell ourselves if we hide behind our fears, we will be safe. Because we know what we already have or are dealing with. We unfairly tell and convince ourselves the new could be worse, and to be fair, it could it be. However, most often when we find the strength to move on to something new (be it: a living situation, a relationship, a job or a combination of several things) it usually turns out better than what we had or even imagined.

What is one thing to help overcome a fear?

Seeing we tend to view our fears as disproportionately large we tend to allow them great power over us. One of the easiest things to do is change the size of your fear.  You can do this by dropping a fear into something that is WAY larger than then the fear.

The well-being bundle coming out later this month will have a guided meditation to release your fears in the meantime, here is a quick visualization you can do to help shrink your fears.

Go with the first answers you think of, no matter how silly or strange it sounds.

Give your fear a shape. Maybe it looks like a specific object or maybe it is more undefined.

Allow yourself to really imagine this shape. What does it look like, be as creative and specific as you can be. Anything you visualize is what is right for you. If you can’t visualize a shape, that’ okay, pretend it is undefined mass.

Once you have your shape (or mass) go ahead and imagine dropping it into the ocean.

Watch it slowly sink and disappear from view.

Allow yourself to feel the release of the weight of it.

Allow yourself to feel lighter.

Relax your shoulders.

Take a deep breath and slowly exhale.

Take another deep breath and slowly exhale.

Take a final deep breath and slowly exhale.

The more you do this visualization the more the object should change and shrink, until it loses its enormity.

Self Love Versus Self Care: 10-18-19

What is Self Love?

Self Love is giving yourself permission to love every single aspect of yourself.  Even the parts you dislike. The more you can extend kindness, compassion and love for yourself, the stronger and more resilient you become as an individual.

What is Self Care?

Self Care are things you do for yourself to make your well-being a priority.

How are they different?

Self Care is a form of Self Love and is needed to show yourself some tangibles ways to extend kindness, compassion and love for yourself. Self Love goes deeper. Enabling you to extend forgiveness to yourself. Honoring all of your experiences and emotions. As well as connecting you to your own sexuality, sensuality and spirituality.

Guided Meditation: 9-20-19

What is Meditation & Guided Meditation

Meditation is a way to calm your body, mind and spirit.

Meditation provides you with a chance to relax and engage in some needed respite.

Meditation can help relieve stress or tension.

Meditation can provide insights for your life.

Meditation can help you facilitate releasing items which no longer serve you. Such as: pent up emotions, healing from past relationships, or trying to control items which are out of your control.

Meditation can also be fun and light hearted.

Guided Meditation
Guided Meditation is where you hear someone talking and asking you to visualize something when you are meditating. Tara finds it is one of the best ways to introduce people to meditation. And even people who meditate regularly, can still benefit from a guided meditation.

What if I can’t visualize anything during the Guided Meditation?

That is fine, some people don’t “see” anything during a guided meditation.

When some people are unable to see anything it can raise their anxiety of being unable to “correctly” meditate.

This is one reason why Tara has chosen to release an audio and video file for all of her guided meditations. Some people prefer to watch her videos instead of listening to the audio file, even though the video only contains a still picture.

You are still able to receive and benefit from the meditation if you chose to watch the video instead.

I am afraid I am going to meditate the wrong way. How should I be meditating?

If you are doing some intensive meditation course, they may want you to meditate  a certain way, but Tara believes there really isn’t a wrong way to meditate, as long as it works for you.
